Evasive Maneuvers

Nolan is such a fun kid, he keeps us laughing!
He got off the bus laughing on friday, I asked him
what was so funny. He told me his new jeans were
to big and he had to hold them up all day, he was
laughing so hard he was crying when he told me
he almost completely lost them twice at recess!
I am so glad he has such a good sense of humor!
I was surprised he didn't know they were
adjustable. We buy him 4-5 pair of new jeans every
six weeks right know. I asked him how he got holes
in his jeans so fast, he told me he does "Evasive
Maneuvers" at recess during a game they play.
He showed me a couple of his maneuvers and
they were pretty impressive. But, I think they would
be more impressive if he could stay off his knees!

Flower Beanie Hat

I had been looking for a flower Beanie hat for
Brook for a while and I didn't want to pay alot
for it so I was excited when I saw this one
about to end on ebay for $8. I have fallen
in love with it! It's so nice to have one child
who doesn't have an opinion yet......

Coughing Mate?

James and Brooklyn have had a bad cough for
afew days. We were watching TV last night
when a coffee mate commercial came on. James
ask if we could try it, I thought he was thinking
he could put it in his chocolate. Then he said
"Can we get some now? Coughing mate will
make me feel better". He is such funny boy!

Happy New Year!!!

I am not sure why we decide to go bowling on New Years Day. Going by our last experience you would think that we might skip bowling all together! But it had been afew months and James still viewed bowling as a dangerous sport, so we thought we should try again(If you don't know the story, see below). We had alot of fun and James even started to bowl himself again about half way through. We even know what happened now....I always thought James tripped over the bowling shoes but he actually tripped on the step up. He kept telling us he was big enough to step all the way up this time. I hope our successful and significantly less expensive trip to the bowling alley is representative of our New Year! Have a Happy New Year!!!!!!

Who Knew Bowling Was A Dangerous Sport?

For those who don't know the "Bowling" Story.....We hadn't been bowling for a while so we decided to go one Sat afternoon. We walked in picked out our balls and were busy putting shoes on when James starts crying loudly, I look up and I thought he was crying because he had dropped his ball, I ran to get it for him and as I turned to hand it to him there was blood everywhere, Dean ran to get towels and I am trying to find the location of this incredible amount of blood. I finally find it, right under his chin is wide open. So we clean up the mess, you would think the employees would be over there to help (but then I have to remember where I live, I am not sure the floor was sanitized to this day!) The other kids did not even have their shoes on, no bowling ball ever made it down the lane! We ran the other kids home and headed for the ER and they glued James chin shut. We were so relieved they didn't have to use stitches, poor guy was so traumatized all ready. So we got an icecream and headed home. Afew hours later.......We get the kids bathed and as we are getting James ready for be he starts screaming my hand, my hand. So we look at it and his thumb is twice the size it should be. You would think we would have checked him for anything else while we were at the ER. No, Not us!
To shorten my extremely long story He also had a fractured thumb and because of its location he got a full elbow cast. It made his whole day...He thought the cast was so fun and after the swelling went down he got to pick another color. How lucky could one boy be? He already has a
color picked out for the next time..........
