Kylie and Her Pink Guitar
Kylie had wanted a guitar for a while when she saw this pink one and decided she had to have it. She saved her babysitting money and waited for it to go on sale. Now she never puts it down. I can't believe how fast she has learned how to play. Her favorite songs to play are of course Taylor Swift. Maybe those Violin and Piano lessons weren't a total waste after all!
Kylie is going to Colorado Springs to spend two weeks with my sister Luana. They get to hang out for a week and shop and do girly things and then they are going to a High Adventure camp. I am so jealous, they get to do so many cool things. Repelling, bouldering, Zip line, Obstacle Courses, and so many other things. I hope she has a great time, We will miss her so much.

Our little Mad Scientist
Nolan is in a very talkative stage. The kind where he follows me around talking non-stop, I'll have to admit I tune him out occasionally (sometimes more). He was talking my ear off yesterday when I heard phrases like science project, under the bed, weeks, it has a blob. I thought I had better tune in. I had no idea he had kept this science project under his bed for a week. Yes, it is very red and very runny and very much starting to rust around the bottom of the hot chocolate can. He was fascinated by the different layers and the blob~I didn't ask, when it had been under the bed for a week I really didn't want to know. At least it wasn't moving on it's own. I am not sure wether to just be happy that he is not keeping his projects in my freezer anymore or wether to be scared of where I might find the next one.

James wanted a Nolan Haircut
James has been wanting his hair cut like Nolan's for a couple of months. We have always loved his little skater boy hair, it matched his crazy little personality so well. It was so curly when he was little we just didn't want to cut it. So up until age 4, we have just trimmed it here and there. I'll have to admit it kind of broke my heart today watching them cut it all off. He looks so much older now, but I really like it. The most important thing though is he really loves it and he loves that he looks like Nolan.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Bag
What do you do when you can't get magical pants? You buy a magical bag, O.K. so the bag is not really magical. But, Kylie and Grainne have been passing this bag back and forth for the last two years. I really didn't think it would last that long. I thought it was just a little Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants phase. Grainne was Kylies first friend when we moved here and then she moved to Prescott when the school year ended. They still see each other afew times a year and they are always so excited to hand off the bag. They occasionally write on the bag but they have a letter journal in it that they both write in. Grainne is moving this summer to Mass. so it will be a little harder to pass off the bag. But, I hope they can keep it going, it has been really fun to watch. Congratulations on your Scholarship Grainne! We hope Mass. is a wonderful adventure for your family.
