Arrow of Light
Nolan at his Arrow of Light ceremony. I love the plaque his leader, Bro. McCaleb carved for him.
Nolan pinning my mother's pin on. I am not sure how deserving I am of the pin, we wait until the last couple of weeks at our house and then Dean makes a chart and I help Nolan with scouts morning, day and night until he is done. He even did afew things on vacation this year but somehow it always gets it done. Way to go Nolan.

Back to school and back to blogging!
Kylie's a sophmore
The boys are happy to be in the same school for one year.
Brooklyn picked out a lunch box like the boys, she carried it all day the whole first week.
James is loving kindergarden
Nolan is in 5th, his last year of elementary.
Holy Moly!!!! Life has been so busy. Summer started and I haven't had time to sit and catch up. We drove 8,000 miles in 5 weeks. Even I am now officially burned out! We may keep trips a little closer to home next year. We got back just in time to move, I love the new house and all of it's room, we can finally breathe again. School started as we were moving houses. A month later I am finally feeling almost caught up. I have so many fun pics to post ,I don't want to lose all those memories. So, I think I will start with back to school and mix the others in as I have time. I can't wait to see all I have missed on everyones blogs!

Yes, we are Gleeks!
Mother Daughter Night
Happy Mother's Day
I love how you can see my tonsils in this pic
None of our kids like to look at the camera, they say I take too many pictures. You would think for mother's day they would humor me a little. No, I think we took over a dozen pictures and these are the closest I was going to get. I had a wonderful mother's day, I felt very loved and spoiled. I hope all the wonderful mother's I know felt the same way.

They make me laugh.....
James: Mom, Where is the wishing well?
Me: The wishing well?
James: Yah, you know. The one I can make a wish at, and my wish will come true.
Me: What do you want to wish for?
James: A new Lego Starwars set, And then after I get that one, I can wish for another one.
If anyone knows where the wishing well is I would love to know..........
I noticed Brooklyn's new play dress had some scissor cuts in it....
Me: Brooklyn, what happened to your dress?
Brook: I don't want to talk about it
Me: It looks like you cut your dress
Brook: I really don't think I should tell you
Me: Did you do it?
Brook: I can tell you James didn't do it
Me: You will be in alot less trouble if you tell me what you did....
Brook: Oh........(she thinks a while) .....I was cutting my paper and I decided to try the scissors on my dress. Did you know that scissors will put a whole in my dress? I really don't like holes in my dress. Don't worry mom, I won't try it anymore.

What would you do for a chocolate carmel apple?
Nolan would answer two trivia questions . I was the kind of kid as soon as I heard the word "trivia" I would have tuned the rest of the sentence out. Not our Nolan, he is such a fun kid, I am sure he was running down the school hall with a grin on his face so sure he knew the answers(the first two kids to answer won the apples). So, I thought I would see how many of you knew the answer's? The questions were #1. Who got an average of three patents every month? and #2. What is sometimes dubbed biosphere 1?

Spring Break~Spending the day in Phoenix
Since we just got back from Anaheim we had to keep spring break close to home this year. So I looked up free family activities in PHX. First, we went to the Stuffington Bear Factory where they will take you on a tour of how Stuffed animals are made. Sounds much more exciting than it was, It was a fairly wimpy tour and I think these stuffed animals must be sold to carnivals, they were lacking in the quality department. But, James and Brooklyn loved it and this stop was for them. James is getting his green bear stuffed in the picture.
Brooklyn picked a $25 piglet, I honestly never thought I would find a place that makes Build a Bear look cheap.
Kylie and Brooklie
Nolan helping James wash his bear
Dean brushing Brooklyns piglet
James posing with his new bear named No Name. Yes, that's his actual name. It's so funny to hear him say "Has anyone seen No Name?"
Brooklyn with her piglet named Oink. We love it's really long legs.
Posing with the Giant Bear. Kylie and Nolan are saying "If we take this picture can we leave????"
James and No Name
Brooklyn and Oink
Next stop Cerreta's chocolate factory
This stop was for Nolan, he loves going to the candy store in Alpine, Ut and sadly enough it is much more entertaining, this one had a video tour on the weekend because they don't make candy then. So, we all picked a couple of treats and headed to the mall to shop for Kylie (her part of the trip). It was one of those days that Dean and I thought was a little disappointing but the kids all seem to enjoy it anyway. We are so thankful that the kids get along so great, we really have fun hanging out as a family.
