Our Trip to SLC,Utah

We love to stop at Temple square.I love how peaceful it feels even in the middle of a crazy, busy week. We then headed for my brother Drew's house to spend the week.

Kylie had been so excited for weeks to see her friend Lexi, they became friends when they went to the same Advanced school. They hadn't seen each other in three years. She is a great friend to Kylie.

While kylie was at Lexi's we went to see our friend Amber Wilkins and her kids. Our kids loved exploring their big house and beautiful yard.

Amber is a friend from Flagstaff, they moved back to Utah so her husband could get his Doctorate. It was so fun to hang out. We miss you Wilkins!

With all these girls we had to have a mani/pedi night.
Brooklyn always loves pink nails!

Alisa, Kylie and Dani (I missed the nails in this shot~oops)

Heather and I. Heather and I went one afternoon and saw The Proposal and went to get an appetizer. It was fun to get some Girl time. I always love hanging out with Heather. She is truly like another sister to me.

Brooklyn loved the slide at Cherry Hill. It was 100 the day we went, the cold water felt sooo good! Anyone that knows me knows that everyone in my family swims but me. I really dislike cold water. I love to priceline a hotel in Phoenix when it is over 100, the warmer the water the happier I am. It was so Hot, I rarely got out of the water.

Austin and Nolan~the pool was so hot they call it the hot tub, we went out late one night to sit in it (just the adults) It wasn't so hot tub without the sun!

The kids and I took a trip up to Providence, (by Logan for those of you like me who had never heard of it) We went to see the Womack's. We met when we lived in Edinburg, on the border of Tx. It's one of those places that alot of us had no family close so the Ward became our family. We are glad they were there to share that experience with us. We miss you guys! They moved to Utah a couple months before we left, Their kids call us the friends that don't want to live by them~because we keep moving away from them. I think that is hilarious, we would love to be their neighbors again!

Luana's daughter Portia came with us for the week. It was so fun getting to know her, she is so quiet! We went to Denver, Wyo, Seattle and Idaho. It really was an incredible trip, We loved every minute of it and we feel so blessed to have such great family and friends!!!!

I had fun doing the Now and Then with Meesa so now it is Amy's turn.
Here are Amy and I ready to go out, I can't remember where. But we were both home for Christmas Break ,Dec of 1988.

Holy Moly! I was a walking hair ball. Notice Amy had the good sense to not do the big curly perm. I think this was about 1992. We are sitting on my first car that I was so proud of. It makes me laugh!!!

Amy and I Now....

Amy and I have been friends since we were 11. My family moved to Tx that year and we were in Boerne Ward together. We grew up as friends but we became much better friends after living together . My friend Angela and I lived with Amy and her sister Deanne one summer between college semesters. Hilariously, Angela and I were really worried because we knew they listened to country music and we couldn't imagine having to listen to that all summer. By the end of the first week we loved it and to this day I prefer country. I am so thankful we spent that summer together, Amy is a Terrific friend. I love how she describes our friendship. "It's nice to have a friend that knows everything about you, what it was like to grow up in our ward, what our homes were like and All the stages of life we have been through. When we get together we just start where we left off".

Brooklyn was in heaven making homemade cresants since we don't so things like that at our house.

They were so incredible I need to learn how to make them!

Amy's house was so fun all the kids had a buddy that was there age. Adam and Brooklyn 2yrs.

Aunt Julia's and Uncle Gregs~Colorado Cont.

We spent nights the rest of the week in colo at my sister Julia's and her husband Gregs. We took the kids to see their community garden, had a movie night, a girls shopping night and a sister sleepover. I am always amazed at how much we can cram into a short period of time. We had so much fun, but we were so exhausted!!!!

Happy Birthday Portia! We have never gotten to celebrate a Birthday with Portia so we had a little party.
This week with Portia was so fun, we were so sad it was ending. We could just keep her!

This picture cracks me up, Julia and I took Brook and Portia on a girls night. So we went to the mall, we thought it would be fun to take Portia to get a new outfit or two. We had been shopping for a while when we look down and Portia has tear in her eye. We ask her what was wrong? She said I am just so tired. The poor girl, I forget that not everyones children are conditioned to shop the way I do! This was supposed to be fun, so we stopped and had a break and had some icecream. And of course we found her some adorable clothes that she showed her mom the minute she got back from camp.

Yum, Chocolate Icecream
Aunt Julia and Portia, I am not sure Portia will ever want to shop with me again!
I miss my sisters, I am always so happy to see them and so sad to leave. They are all incredible women and so much fun to be around. We always laugh till we hurt. I Love it!!!!!
